Hello, my name is Stephan Haag and I am currently a bachelor’s student workingunder the supervision of Konstantin Nikolaou. Before starting my bachelor’sthesis, I gained initial experience as a research assistant for Dr. Rudolf Weeber, focusing on computational simulations. In my bachelor’s thesis, I am investigatingaspects of neural network training, particularly focusing on pretraining. One key concept I am exploring is spectral bias, a phenomenon where neuralnetworks tend to prioritize low-frequency information during training. Outsideof my studies, I enjoy running, and I have recently started going to the gymregularly again. Additionally, I have a strong interest in history and philosophy.
