My broad research interests are Soft Matter, Biological and Active Matter Physics and Computational Physics.

At ICP, the primary focus of my research is to study the magnetic and mechanical properties of soft polymer gels embedded with magnetic nanoparticles through a means of different simulation techniques. I will use uncertainty quantification techniques to characterize the composite magnetic system. Applications of soft magnetic gels are found in the medical field for drug delivery and soft robotics.

During my MS thesis, my objective was to use numerical techniques to study a system of colloids suspended in an active nematic solvent. In this work, I probed the accompanied topological defects around the colloid in an active nematic as a function of anchoring strength, background nematic elasticity and activity.
